Glastonbury Festival organisers have raised more than £680,000 for the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC)’s appeal to help communities impacted by the Turkey and Syria earthquakes.
The organisers have raised the sum just five days after launching on 15 February.
Already it has increased its target. After smashing its £600,000 target last Friday this was increased to £650,000 at the weekend. The target is now £700,000.
The appeal is being run with Oxfam, which is a DEC member and one of the good causes the festival supports.
Through the competition festival organisers have donated 10 pairs of tickets to the iconic festival, which sold out when released last year.
Each prize winners get a unique experience at the festival, including watching acts close up from a Pyramid Stage viewing platform, introducing an act on The Park stage or enjoying a backstage tour of the West Holts stage.
The prize draw is open until 12noon on 8 March and people can enter multiple times, with a £10 price set for one entry.

The DEC's fundraising appeal launched, after the earthquakes claimed the lives of thousands of people in Turkey and northern Syria earlier this month.
"It is a double tragedy for survivors having to cope too with the cold and who will be unable to sleep outside. It is horrifying to contemplate how people will even be able to cope, given that some areas are even now in snow," said Meryem Aslan, Oxfam’s spokesperson in Ankara.
Money raised through the DEC’s appeal is being match funded up to £5m from the UK government. Match funding platform Big Give has also pledged to match fund donations to the appeal through its platform.
